In 2003, CG Metering Consultants gained recognition for its involvement in cutting off illegal connections for Eskom in Khayelitsha. This intervention helped address the issue of electricity theft and ensured a fair and balanced distribution of electricity resources.
A year later, in 2004, the company conducted an auditing of 10,000 prepay electricity meters in the West Coast, Boland, and Northern Cape areas. This initiative aimed to ensure accurate metering and billing, thereby fostering transparency and efficiency in energy consumption.
In 2005, CG Metering Consultants undertook a significant project for the CoCT by installing 130 street light poles and the necessary reticulation in Tambo Village. This contribution not only enhanced the safety and security of the area but also showcased the company’s expertise in infrastructure development and maintenance.
Continuing their commitment towards quality service, in 2006, CG Metering Consultants performed oil change and maintenance on switchgears and transformers for CoCT Northern Regions.

Between 2010 and 2020, CG Metering Consultants played a vital role in revenue protection for Eskom Western Region, which included services such as prepay meter audits, disconnections, and the removal of illegal tampering. These efforts aided in safeguarding revenue streams and maintaining the integrity of the energy network.
Since 2020, the company has expanded its services to include Soft Skill Training, Mentoring, and Counseling for businesses and individuals.

Glen Julius is the founder and owner of CG Metering Consultants, an esteemed electrical, metering, training, and consulting company that has been actively serving the industry since its establishment in 2002. Glen’s extensive experience and expertise in the field have contributed to the success and reputation of the company.

Glen’s career in the electrical industry began in 1993, shortly after matriculating. He started as an apprentice in a prepay meter manufacturing company. Recognizing his passion for the field, Glen went on to pursue further studies at the College of Cape Town, specializing in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He successfully completed his N6 National Certificate in 1996.

With a commitment to continuous professional development, in 1998, he underwent a Technician Metering Course at Eskom. Additionally, he further honed his skills by attending a Water Meter Training program offered by Schlumberger, specializing in smart metering and water meter systems.

Recognizing the importance of effective communication and business acumen, Glen completed a Business Presentation Skills course in 2000, which equipped him with valuable skills. Furthermore, he invested in his marketing and management abilities by obtaining an IMM Accredited Certificate in Marketing Management from Damelin College in 2001.

Understanding the significance of quality management systems, Glen pursued ISO 9001 training through Annelie Coetzee Training in 2016.

Dedicated to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of his team and clients, Glen embarked on a comprehensive National Safety Training Course (NASTRAC) offered by Safenet in 2016.

In addition to his technical skills, Glen also has a strong foundation in the field of counseling and philosophy. In 2022, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies from the North Central Theological Seminary. This qualification has enhanced his skills in counseling psychology.
